Rank Information



Genin
Genin are the lowest of ninja skill levels. They possess a knowledge of all the basic ninja skills and will do lower C & D rank missions with their Jounin sensei. Once the Genin has successfully undertaken eight missions, they can be sponsored by their Jounin sensei for the Chuunin Exam. Genin are the lowest level of ninja. Because of this, skill levels vary drastically between Genin. Genin are put in four-man cells, consisting of three Genin and a Jonin sensei, in order to learn teamwork and experience true ninja life under the supervision and protection of an elite shinobi. The make-up of these teams is based on the individual skills of the Genin, so that there will remain a balance between the teams. When they become Genin, ninja start to do their bit for their village's economy, for which they are given a small payment. They are typically sent either on D-rank missions, which are the lowest rank and are almost entirely risk-free jobs of manual labor, or experienced genin are sent on C-rank missions, which are a cut above that and begin to verge on real "ninja" work, though they generally have a very low possibility of risk to the ninja involved.
Jutsu Limits: 20 jutsu maximum. E, D, and C rank allowed.

Chuunin

Chuunins are respected amongst their fellow Shinobis, though they are not as skilled as Jounins they can fight at a high degree. Though at this rank they are given some responsibilities, they are still not informed on many things that happens in their Village. The Chuunin is the basic journeyman ninja of the village. These ninja can become field doctors or teachers. They were formerly Genin who were promoted for displaying excellent intelligence, strategy and combat skills in the Chuunin Exam. Chuunin have the equivalent rank of military captain, exhibiting strong stamina, knowledge and inner wisdom.
To Obtain This Rank: Pass The Chuunin Exams

Jutsu Limits: 30 jutsu maximum. E, D, C, and B rank allowed.
Skill Information: 2 Specialties, 1 Element

Jounin
Jounins are skilled in almost every aspect in their skills and are considered to be the heart of a Village. Jounins are a Village's first line of defense and are one of the most highly respected ranks in a Village. Most Jounins are given a team to train and are normally given high ranked missions such as A-Ranked and S-Ranked missions. The Jounin are ninja who are highly skilled in all jutsu skills and arts. Ninja attain the rank of Jounin through official appointment. The Jounin generally serve as squad commander for mission operations.
To Obtain This Rank: After two months of being a Chuunin or through appointment by your respected kage one may acquire this rank.

Jutsu Limits: 45 jutsu maximum. E, D, C, B, and A rank allowed. 3 S-rank.
Skill Information: 2 Specialties, 2 Elements.

ANBU
ANBU members hold many secrets that involve their Village. Any Anbu Black Op member may be called at anytime to perform a covert mission. As they wear masks to hide their identity they act as a Jounin to people outside the ANBU Black Ops to convey the idea they are still Jounin. The ANBU, meaning "dark side" is actually short for Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai (literally Assassination Tactics Special Military Force). The ANBU work directly under the leadership of the Hokage. This specialized ninja battalion generally work in groups of four to five. They are responsible for assassinations and missions requiring highly trained ninjas. The masks the members wear are based around the signs of the zodiac.
To Obtain This Rank: After three weeks of being a Jounin one may request for this rank from their Kage by completeing an S-rank mission.

Jutsu Limits: 45 jutsu maximum. E, D, C, B, and A rank allowed. 3 S-ranks.
Skill Information: 2 Specialties, 2 Elements.

Sannin
Sannin are known throughout their Village as Legends and as the strongest shinobi, only second to the Kage. There can only be at a maximum of 3 Sannin in a Village. Most Sannin are considered to be the next in line for the Kage position once a Kage dies.
To Obtain This Rank: After three weeks of being a Jounin one may request this rank from their Kage by completing an S-rank mission.

Jutsu Limits: 50 jutsu maximum. E, D, C, B, and A rank allowed. 5 S-ranks.
Skill Information: 3 Specialties, 2 Elements.

Kage
Kage is the highest rank a ninja may obtain inside a Village. A Kage leads their Village and dictates all things that goes within the Village, rather it be handing out missions, assigning teams or even filling out paper work. The village Kage is the strongest ninja in the hidden village. The Kage serves as the pillar upon which the village stands and the strength a village presents to the other ninja countries largely depends upon the strength of the Kage in power. They have excellent chakra and stamina and know the most jutsu techniques. Only the Five Great Shinobi Countries are allowed to call their head ninja by the Kage name.
To Obtain This Rank: Can only be appointed by the head admin.

Jutsu Limits: 55 jutsu maximum. E, D, C, B, and A rank allowed. 6 S-ranks.
Skill Information: 3 Specialties, 2 Elements.

Akatsuki Leader
Akatsuki Leader is an extremely powerful kage-level shinobi who is most of the time the most wanted criminal in the ninja world. They run the powerful organization known as Akatsuki and are definantly a force not to be reckoned with. If you ever decide to go shinobi hunting, this is most certainly not the rogue you should choose to underestimate.
To Obtain This Rank: It is given to someone who has expert RP skills by the site founder.

Jutsu Limits: 55 jutsu maximum. E, D, C, B, and A rank allowed. 5 S-ranks.
Skill Information: 3 Specialties, 2 Elements.

Akatsuki
The Akatsuki kanji means daybreak, breaking down the word itself gives us "aka" meaning red (a common color in the group) and "tsuki" meaning moon. This Organization is a collection of S-Ranked criminals. Many of these are missing-nins who fled their villages after causing death and destruction. Most members wear a forehead protector from their hidden village with a scratch through it, and all seem to wear a ring identifying their position in the organization and a black cloak with red clouds. The group itself acts as mercenaries for hire, offering their services to villages wary of taxing their own resources. When the organization members leave to travel the country they will work in groups of two collecting knowledge of new skills and jutsu. The exact origins of the group are clouded in mystery, rumors suggest it may have formed in the Water Country.
To Obtain This Rank: By leaving your village and being recruited by the leader after being a missing ninja for an entire week or starting off if your RP sample is deemed good enough by an administrator as well as the Akatsuki Leader.

Jutsu Limits: 50 jutsu maximum. E, D, C, B, and A rank allowed. 3 S-ranks.
Skill Information: 3 Specialties, 2 Elements.

Missing Ninja
Missing Ninjas are ninja who have abandoned their Hidden Village, and as such can include ninja of every rank. These ninja are considered traitors and are hunted down because of the secrets they may hold. Other Hidden Villages would be interested in purchasing this information because it could be useful in gaining an upper hand in battle or obtaining a bloodline limit unique to a village. Villages create special units of hunter-nin to take care of this problem, although it's unlikely that every missing-nin has a team of hunter-nin sent after them. Also, some may be impossible to find unless they do something to attract attention.
To Obtain This Rank: Escape your village by fighting off pursuers. If no one attacks after 48 hours, you are successful.

War / Invasion System

First Tier of Invasion/Defense


A village does not rise or fall in a single battle. Each Village has a "Foreign border area" that MUST be taken before other areas succumb to an army's advance. Example of this would be the The Gold Coast Road in Suna, Forest of Fog in Kiri, or the Valley of the End in Konoha.

These locations must be taken by the following invasion outline (Can vary depending on which Villages are fighting)

Specified War Stickies will be posted, an admin, or designated Mod will post these, No one is allowed to post thier own. Any sticky clearly designated as a War topic will be involving the village war, all other rp's will be required to take notice of the events in the sections the stickies are posted, as anyone in the general area is susceptible to attack.

There will be at LEAST Four Major Objectives per invasion of another countries initial defenses (Basically four War Stickies minimum). For a countries' invasion to be successful through basic victories, around 1/2-3/4 of the war topics must result in one village's victory (This will depend on the nature of the battle itself.

There will be a clearly defined Victory/Defeat Objective (An Auto-win or Auto-Defeat Stipulation for the invasion forces for one War Sticky Topic)

Such Objectives will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Death of Invasion Force Commander (Each Sticky will have one overall leader directing their invasion squads. If this character is killed in action, then all teams are immediately forced into retreat, and the opposing side is granted victory for that war topic. These leaders will be nominated by the village kages or ruling councils.)

Death/Disability of 75% of an invasion force (All characters involved in war topics are susceptible to death. NO EXCEPTIONS!)

The Achievement of a defined objective other than the others listed above (Say a certain area had to be "captured" or a certain leader other than the region commander is taken hostage)

As stated before, all shinobi involved in war topics are susceptible, but not limited to, death, or permanent injury.

Auto-hits will not be allowed except for these exceptions:

A jounin, sennin-level, or kage status shinobi will be able to kill a genin with an auto-hit if that genin is alone and without their team (This is done to promote teamwork, when a full team of genin, or a genin is with a sensei, this auto-kill option is nullified. Teams are central to combat), this can be cancled however if a genin has a masterful counter, but "I have a clone" does not cut it.

In order for a nation to declare an invasion they must have at least, 5 fully designed teams (Minimum one war topic), one of these teams must be the Commanding team for the entire invasion (Each member of this commanding team may be the region commanders)

Stealth and Assasination missions for village infiltration will be available to specialized teams (mostly with ANBU status)

Amendment 1: One account may be able to rp their Suna and Oto characters, however they must make extra sure that 1: They do not fight themselves and kill one providing an unfair advantage to one side, and 2) that they do not post more for one character than another, if this happens make sure you compensate by posting for you other character. Basically keep things balanced so we don't have people favoring one village or another if you plan to rp for both sides.

Amendment 2: Other vilalges may be able to join in at a later date, but for the outset, Oto and Suna will be the initial aggresors

Amendment Series 1: This will deal with the use of NPC characters in wars which may fall under the control of rpers.

Sub Amendment 1: NPC characters will be used within the course of the war, however if they are used, they are limited to the defense of the main village (NPC in this sense is in relation to a character not normally controlled by any one individual. The NPC's of Suna are good examples to see by what these amendments refer to).

Sub Amendment 2: There will be a limit stipulated on the number of NPC-type characters depending on the RP character populations of the vilalges. Ranks will also be put into a ratio (The ratio is to be determined)

Sub Amendment 3: Any one Rper in control of a normally NPC character will not be able to control that character if control has been transferred to another (Basically all normally NPC characters will have their controllers switched to follow the flow of combat)

Sub Amendment 4: Unless part of an agreed plot, rpers cannot use these NPC type characters to kill an RP character

Amendment Series 2: Allies

Sub Amendment 1: Shinobi from foreign villages can aid their specified allies in one of two ways.
-1: Either foreign Shinobi can be formed into Foreign aid squads (With this kind of assistance Foreign Shinobi represent their village but their orders are given by the village they are aiding)

-2: A friendly village can declare war on their allies enemy (Only a certain number of Village squadrons can be lent to one villages invasion or defense. Death and Injury rules apply to all allies involved in combat)

Sub Amendment 2: Villages entering a war must formally declare their allies and who they declare war on. Reasons for declaration of war must be specified. (Nothing too serious, just tell us something other than *We declare war against *insert village name*




Rules for engagement:

I am making a separate rule post for this since it may cause a bomb to go off if the boundaries are not clear.

For the most part the basic RP rules, such as no godmodding, making decent posts, and such will still be upheld. However, since this war will have special kinds of interactions, placing all levels of ninjas on the same playing field, there needs to be some guidelines. (These are not to be strict, but to provide some sort of reference for any confusing situations that may arise).

Here are some rules concerning one vs. many should the situation arise:

Genins are basically fodder on their own unless facing another Genin, however. This is to be expected since they are the lowest level of ninja. An experienced Jounin, Sennin Level and Kage level can use a reasonable auto-kill. This is the only rule of this kind.

Note* This is done so we do no get ridiculous situations where a genin is tempted godmod and survive an elite shinobi's attacks, that is just not logical nor fun, but rather annoying and stupid.

The previous point about genin brings around a major concept that is unlike anything that has taken place on Naruto C before, real team interactions. Unlike normal rps where teams simply rp together, Teams will be vital elements for survival. Genins and Chuunins benefit greatly from sticking together, because higher level ninja cannot utilize their auto-kill options on the lowest ranked shinobi. Team combat also provides a myriad of possibilities such as team combos and the like. Teams can engage in

-team on one combat
-team on team combat

In the team system is designed to be a little different than in normal rp's

Killing Blows: Naturally no one is going to easily let their characters die. However in order to be fair and actually simulate a war where people DIE, any debate whether a person has rped well enough to the point someone dies can be handled by an admin. Sort of like how the ANBU exams will work, if there is legitimate debate whether someone should die, let a war mod or admin see the link and judge fairly. (Remember retreat is a perfect alternative even though it results in your loss of the battle. So weigh the cause against your own life)

Abilities System

[center]Uchiha Rules

You may not start with the mangekyou sharingan no matter what. Furthermore, the eternal mangekyou is completely banned. With the mangekyou sharingan, you will lose your eye sight if it is activated a total of 10 times. A Genin may only start with one tomoe sharingan. A Chuunin may only start with two tomoe. The three tomoe may not be started with.

The Sharingan's ability to see through jutsu (including Genjutsu) will be limited to one rank below their own. That means that an S-rank shinobi will only be able to see through jutsu up to A rank and copy jutsu up to B rank. It's ability to copy jutsu, however, will not be allowed unless the technique is two ranks below your own. Only two tomoe can see through jutsu and only three can copy jutsu.

A Uchiha may only start at the rank of Chuunin (B-Class) or lower.

To train tomoes:
Two tomoe - 500 words.
Three tomoe - 800 words.

On this site, rather than purchasing jutsu or instantly receiving them, we will have a system in which you must train higher-ranked techniques. However, to some ranks you will be granted some leverage.

Eight Gates Training


The Gate of Opening (開門, Kaimon), located in the brain. This gate removes the restraints of the brain on the muscles so 100% of their strength can be used whereas normally, a person can only use 20% of their muscles' strength to keep them from disintegrating. Unlocking this gate allows the user to use the Front Lotus.

Word Count: 900

The Gate of Healing (休門, Kyūmon; English TV "The Gate of Rest"), located in the brain. Forcibly increases one's physical strength and temporarily re-energizes the body.

Word Count: 1000

The Gate of Life (生門, Seimon), located on the spinal cord. Allows the user to use the Reverse Lotus. The increased blood flow turns the skin red. In the video games, it allows the user to perform the Leaf Hot Wind.

Word Count: 1100

The Gate of Pain (傷門, Shōmon), located on the spinal cord. Increases the user's speed and power. May cause muscle tissue to tear on use.

Word Count: 1200

The Gate of Limit (杜門, Tomon; English TV "The Gate of Closing"), per above. Located in the abdomen.

Word Count: 1400

The Gate of View (景門, Keimon; English TV "The Gate of Joy"), per above. Located in the stomach. Allows the user to perform the Morning Peacock. Opening of this gate releases such large amounts of chakra that it can cause nearby water bodies to form a vortex around the user.

Word Count: 1800

The Gate of Wonder (驚門, Kyōmon; English TV "The Gate of Shock"), per above. Located below the stomach. Allows the user to perform the Daytime Tiger. Those who open this gate pour glowing green sweat from every inch of their body, which immediately evaporates from their own heat energy, creating an aura which people would mistake as a green chakra coating. In the video games, allows the user to perform the Eternal Chaotic Dance. The aftereffects of opening the gate are that the users muscle fibers are ripped to shreds, causing intense pain if anything or anyone touches him.

Word Count: 2000


The Gate of Death (死門, Shimon), located at the heart. Releasing this gate uses up all of the body's energy. It makes the heart pump at maximum power and exceeds the power of every other gate. Opening this gate assures the user's death shortly after.

Bijuu Training

Training Requirements
  • No Tail - No training required, granted chakra color depending on the bijuu
  • 10% - 500 to master. (Bijuu Cloak)
  • 20%l - 700 to master. (Bijuu Eyes)
  • 30% - 900 to master.
  • 40% - 1100 to master. (Bijuu Limbs) *Genin Limit*
  • 50% - 1300 to master.
  • 60% - 1500 to master. (Transformation*Small*)
  • 70% - 1600 to master. *Chuunin Limit*
  • 80% - 1800 to master. (Transformation *Medium*)
  • 90% - 2000 to master. (Transformation *Large*)
  • 100% - 2200 to master. (Complete Control/Cooperation of Bijuu)


- But before going through this training, you need to unlock each stage IC, like in a mission where you face a stressful situation. An Admin will have to approve it. After that, you are free to make a training following the wordcount above to fully master that stage, since without doing it you won't be able to use that stage again unless you go in another stressful situation.


(Training for control of the beast inside the host is no easy task. As such even if one gains access to a more stronger piece of the bijuu's power, they will still be required to master it. If this is not done then the host risks losing there mental stability the longer they are exposed to the chakra of the bijuu. The higher the percentage of the bijuu chakra being used, if not master, will be deducted every post the jutsu is active. Once the percent adds up to 100% the user will have lost control of himself and will thus be considered as a NPC until the host can either be killed or calmed by an outside force.)
